Over the Chinese New Year period, Feb 14 - Feb 23, 2010, I've traveled back to home town to celebrate the auspicious year of the Tiger in the lunar calendar.
The trafic at my hometown, Penang, the Pearl of the Orient, was absolutely a nightmare! The moment I stepped out of the house, there awaits me was long traffic queue (lots of cars, motorbikes, bicycles, jay walkers etc) .
Well, I believe this is part and parcel of living in this world...
Fast forward, besides from lots of eating and sleeping, I managed to climb up to the nearby Kek Lok Si Temple. After some 2-3 years of construction, the giant statue of the Goddess of Mercy (or known as Kuan Yin) has finally completed. With the new RM40-million add-on to the present Kek Lok Si Temple, this is what I manage to capture, all humbly from my ever loyal serving Canon EOS Digital Systems.
In view of getting the right travel photo, I have gone to this location for at least 4 days consecutively. For this reason, I've been labelled 'Siow Lang' by some people. (Note: 'Siow Lang' means Crazy or Insane in Hokkien Dialect)
