WHO DOES NOT WANT RM25,000 from winning a photographic competition?
Some 1-odd year ago, when Sunway Group organized a photo competition named “Sunway Memories Photo Contest”, I’ve never think-twice to immediately join the competition especially for a lucrative bait of whopping RM25,000!
Quipped with high hopes and dreams to clinch the Grand Prize and putting it in my pocket, I started planning shots that I should go for. Thorough ground works were made so as to ensure that what I click on my camera shutter button captures “impactful yet compelling” photos.
My photographic journey for the competition started off by identifying a few locations : recce : getting the approval from the respective organizations to shoot from their premise roof top… editing then followed by submission.
Amongst the best locations identified were from the minaret of Bandar Sunway Mosque and on the roof top of Mentari Court.
Fast forward, geared with my ever loyal EOS 40D (my backup unit now), I ascended the buildings, parked myself at a strategic dirty spot to hopefully snap ‘award winning’ photos.
Despite the photos on this page did not make it in the contest, I must make a note that the effort throughout the whole process was satisfying!
